Itinerary

Tour Itinerary

6:15 – 7:00 AM   Pick-up from your hotel or designated meeting point in the following areas: Khaosan, Silom, Sathorn, Sukhumvit (Soi 1-24), Asoke, Pratunam.

7:30 AM    Departure from Bangkok to Ayutthaya.

9:10 AM   Begin your exploration with a visit to Wat Phu Khao Thong. Ascend the renowned 50-meter-high Chedi for panoramic views of the surrounding rice fields and the town of Ayutthaya. Next, explore Wat Lokaya Sutha, home to the impressive 42-meter-long reclining Buddha. Followed by a visit to Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, established by King U-Thong in 1357 AD, one of Ayutthaya’s oldest and most significant temples. Before lunch, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Wat Mahathat, renowned for the Buddha head enshrined within tree roots.

12:00 PM   Enjoy a delicious Thai lunch at a local restaurant.

1:00 PM    Continue your journey with a visit to Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the esteemed temple situated on the grounds of Ayutthaya’s former Royal Palace.

2:20 PM   Explore the exquisite Bang Pa-In Royal Palace (Summer Palace). Initially constructed by King Prasat Thong in 1632, the palace has been meticulously restored and maintained by Thai monarchs. While the palace is predominantly open to visitors, it is occasionally used by the royal family for special occasions.

3:20 PM    Depart from Ayutthaya to return to Bangkok.

4:50 PM    Group Tour: Drop-off at Khaosan Road or MRT Sam Yot Only. (Khaosan Road is a renowned destination for backpackers).

 

Important Note: Bang Pa-In Royal Palace remains a significant location for the royal family. Visitors are required to dress appropriately, avoiding flip-flop shoes (sneakers or closed-toe shoes are acceptable), tank tops (T-shirts are permitted), and shorts (long trousers are appropriate).
