9-hour Bicycle/Boat/Train tour

Tour Details

Embark on an extended adventure with our CO All Day tour, ideal for the intrepid explorer or those seeking to immerse themselves further in Bangkok’s bicycle tour experience. Join us for a full-day expedition that ventures beyond the city’s center, incorporating classic railway journeys and local modes of transportation. Pedal-power and longtail boats will transport us to captivating realms far from central Bangkok and its typical tourist attractions.

Throughout this journey, you’ll encounter mesmerizing beauty intertwined with striking contrasts. From modern lifestyles rooted in age-old traditions to the harmonious coexistence of Buddhist temples and Muslim mosques, our route unveils the diverse facets of Bangkok. Experience the transition from bustling urban landscapes to serene rural panoramas, offering a profound insight into the multifaceted character of the city. This comprehensive exploration promises to leave an indelible mark, revealing Bangkok’s many faces in a truly unforgettable manner.

What to Expect

Given Bangkok’s ever-changing cityscape and dynamic nature, we don’t adhere to a rigid itinerary, allowing each day to unfold as a new adventure. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Wander through the back alleys of Yaowarat and Chinatown.
  • Hop on the local train to explore the eastern part of Bangkok.
  • Visit a local community temple.
  • Make several short stops (10-20 minutes each) for drinks, snacks, and sightseeing.
  • Enjoy a 40-minute longtail boat ride through Bangkok’s ancient Klongs.
  • Indulge in a delicious Thai-style meal at a local family-style establishment.
  • Experience Bangkok’s lush greenery and forgotten plantations.

We take pride in offering an alternative to typical tourist experiences by venturing “off the beaten path” to show you the authentic Bangkok, away from the usual attractions like the Grand Palace and Wat Arun. Our tours delve into local communities, revealing places inaccessible to the average traveler, where individual fascinations come to life.

Safety is paramount on our tours. We avoid main roads with traffic, sticking to back roads, alleys, and footpaths for approximately 95% of the journey. Helmets are available if desired.

Weather in Bangkok is unpredictable, but our cycling tours are refreshing year-round, mostly taking place in shaded areas. Cycling generates a breeze to keep you cool, aided by Bangkok’s flat terrain and leisurely pace. During rainy seasons (July-September), our guides know where to find cover during brief showers.

Our guides are primarily English-speaking locals. Our tours focus on the interactive experience of cycling within the community, minimizing verbal presentations about facts or history. Language doesn’t significantly impact your tour experience, ensuring you won’t miss out on anything without a native language guide.

Attire Recommendations:

During our tours, we respectfully visit local and often conservative communities, including temples. We kindly request that you dress conservatively as a sign of respect for the local customs. In Thai culture, it’s appreciated to wear a top covering the shoulders and a sarong to cover the legs when entering temples.

We suggest wearing lightweight, comfortable clothing and a hat to shield yourself from the sun. Closed shoes or sports sandals are recommended for optimal protection and control while cycling. For safety reasons, we advise against wearing flip flops as they may compromise your ability to control the bicycle. Applying sunscreen generously is also highly recommended.

Items to Bring:

Our tours are all-inclusive, so there’s no need to bring food or drinks. However, you may find it useful to bring the following:

  • Sunglasses, hat, or cap, and sunblock
  • Camera or smartphone to capture your experience
  • Passport number (a copy or on your smartphone) for emergency insurance purposes
  • In case of rain, you may wish to bring a raincoat, although it’s not necessary as we provide them for the entire group.
  • Lastly, bring along an open mind and a big smile—it’s your holiday!
