Set out on an exhilarating three-hour adventure delving into Bangkok’s history, exploring hidden treasures and authentic local tastes within the historic Rattanakosin district. Immerse yourself in the city’s diverse heritage, venturing beyond the typical tourist attractions.
With Bangkok’s ever-changing cityscape, vibrant festivals, and dynamic character, we don’t adhere to a rigid, predetermined route, ensuring that each day presents a fresh adventure for all.
Expectations:
We take pride in offering an alternative to the standard tourist experience by guiding our customers “off the beaten path” to discover the authentic Bangkok, away from the typical mass tourism attractions like the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and Wat Pho. Our tours venture behind the scenes into local communities and places inaccessible to the average traveler, allowing individual fascinations to emerge.
Safety:
Our tours avoid main roads with traffic, ensuring a safe experience. We predominantly use back roads, alleyways, and footpaths (approximately 95% of the tour). Helmets are available at our office if desired.
Weather:
Cycling with us in Bangkok is a refreshing adventure year-round. Most cycling occurs in shaded areas, and the activity creates a cooling breeze. Bangkok’s flat terrain and leisurely cycling pace contribute to a comfortable experience. Cold drinks and rest stops along the way keep participants refreshed. While rain is unpredictable, our experienced guides know where to find shelter during brief downpours, which rarely last more than 30 minutes.
Language:
Most of our guides are English-speaking local Thais. Our tours prioritize the interactive cycling experience within the local community over presentations about facts or history. Language proficiency does not significantly impact the tour experience, ensuring an enriching experience for all participants.
Attire Recommendations: During our tours, we visit local and often more conservative communities, including temples. We kindly request guests to dress conservatively out of respect for the local culture. Wearing a top that covers the shoulders and a sarong to cover the legs while visiting temples is greatly appreciated in Thai culture.
We suggest wearing light, comfortable clothing along with a hat to shield yourself from the sun. Opt for closed shoes or sports sandals for better protection and control during the tour. For safety reasons, we advise against wearing flip flops as they may compromise your ability to control the bicycle. Additionally, it’s highly recommended to apply sunscreen liberally.
Items to Bring: Our tours are all-inclusive, so there’s no need to bring food or drinks. However, you may wish to consider bringing the following:
